Default How to fit my oil cooler and stat plate

Hello all new to this site so lets give it ago
I have an sti v3 now with the closed deck block. Just had it rebuilt down to yes you got it bottom end knock
Will be buying a mocal stat plate and need to know do i remove the standard cooler put the stat plate on the block with the oil filter on the bottom and pipe of to the new cooler OR do i leave the standard cooler in place?????
am i right in thinking you are to replace the standard cooler on a rebuild anyway

You should really replace the Oil Modine Cooler when rebuilding as it is a nice hiding place for bits of the old engine!

If you remove it totally and only use the oil stat plate and remote oil cooler your oil will take a little longer to warm up from cold, as this is when most engine wear occurs I'd leave it in place, although removing it does give you more room!

So is there no way to clean them out???

Not a way any engine builder worth their salt will trust and they're not exactly expensive when compared to the cost of another rebuild!

as above oil cooler/pump/sump in the bin not worth the chance

Will i put a new one on or just pipe up the new mocal cooler and stat plate????Is it worth put one on..
Also need help finding some new oil jet any ideas
