Is removing the subframe on 02 sti much work ? Mine has small whole and bits of rust so was gonna remove,strip it down to bare metal,weld whole and powder coat it.what would labour cost to remove and refit it be approx ?i Cando the rest.

Which subframe do you mean as there is a u shaped one for crash protection and the subframe that is under the engine, the u shaped one comes off easily but presume the other would require engine supporting before removal, I dropped mine when changing the uppipe to get clearance but would have thought easier option would be to get a used one have that powdercoated them swap over in 1 day,

Yes mate i did think on those lines myself if i could source a good used one for the right money,what would a used front subframe cost roughly ? The big one under engine.
