Default noisy bootlid

All,

My bootlid is errr noisy like its sort of banging over bumps.

The "stops" on the lid are not adjustable and there seems to be some "play" when I push the bootlid down making a metallic/rubbery noise thats driving me mad over the bumps!

Any tips, and I dont need PG.

Maybe this is the noise I hear, as it sounds like the same. I thought it was struts but changed them but still the same.

I don't want to be stating the obvious but, are you sure it's not the rear suspension?
