Removing rear seat to get to strut mounts?
Before I go ahead and replace my rear struts (the knocking sound has arrived) I want to check that the strut mounts are not loose. I understand that to access these the rear seat has to be removed. Is it an easy job and is there anything I need to watch out for?
Also when the rear shocks/struts are actually replaced can everything be done from down below or does the seat have to come out again?
Car is a 2007 Hawkeye WRX
Thanks

Two or three bolts along the front edge of the seat base. Lift and pull it forwards.
Now there are three more bolts almost under the bottom of the seat back. Undo and remove, then give the seat back a sharp knock upwards at both ends to free if off the spring clips that hold it. That's it.

2 x 12mm hold the bottom part in 4 x 12mm hold the top part in and as above knock back part upwards to release.
Oh and be careful when you remove the back part out of the car as its easy to scratch the wheel arch inside the door shut.
