Default Prosport gauge problems, any help please.

My Prosport Oil pressure gauge has decided to go to 7 bar and stay there whenever the engine runs. it still performs a sweep at startup and returns to 0 till you startup.
I am thinking the sender is kerput just wondering if anyone has had this problem before I go buy a new sender.

Check the sender wiring, sounds like it might be shorting out.

There are two terminals on the sender and I assumed one to the gauge and one to earth, as the wiring diagram is poor!

The sender earth is important as it give a circuit for the current. No circuit, no current.

But I reckon yours is either fubarred, or there is a dead short somewhere in the wiring. Can you check along it's length?
