Default Having larger turbo and sti tmic fitted

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a vf35 turbo fitted on my blob eye wrx. Also possibly a sti tmic to replace my standard one.

Im looking to have sti pink injectors and an uprated fuel pump fitted another time. Then a remap.

My question is will the car be driveable with the upgraded turbo and tmic fitted without having the other work carried out first... or do I need to have uprated fuel pump and injectors done first.

Obviously I would be driving home at a snails pace after. Just dont want to if it could destroy my car.

Thanks

It'll need to be remapped for the VF35 & STi TMIC and again when you do the pinks. I'd personally wait and do the whole lot in one go. Save on remapping time

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Would it be safe to drive home in an un-mapped state.

I only say this becuase Im looking to get the parts fitted at one place and then mapped at another.

I will get all the bits together before finally having it mapped.

Cheers

If driven off boost you SHOULD be ok. Why not get the parts fitted then have the likes of JGM travel to where the car is and map it there?? Takes all the risk out of it

Run the hose from turbo outlet nipple striaght to the wastegate actuator (no tee piece or boost solonoid); that way you won't be tempted to let it boost up too much

Thanks for the tip. I would be bound to forget during my journey and give it too much.

On another topic...do you or anyone know if the uprated fuel pump which I believe is part of the ppp . Is it man enough for the job or is it safer to just get a walbro 255lph one or similar. I sure someone will tell me not to be a silly boy.

Cheers

Definately don't be tempted to open it up after, it will most definately det and potentially end up with bits of engine and smoke! For the cost of a brand new Walbro, go that route, keep you standard airbox as well and just get a decent filter in there.

Will defo just keep the green panel filter I have already. After the comments made on here I dont think I will ever go there.
