stood a while
hey people hows it goin? iv just brought a 93 wrx off ebay but its been stood about 6months without being started. is there anything i need to do before i get it started as i heard someone mention something about the cambelt will need replacing before i try starting it as its been stood for so long. is this the case? cheers

Charge the battery and check the tyres, start car, leave it to idle with the bonnet up for 30 or so seconds to see if you get any strange noises then go for a nice gentle drive as the fuel will be stale and you will need to replace it with some nice vpower

Check it's got coolant, oil and start it up. Get some fresh fuel in it and take it easy as it's a new car to you and you don't know if it's a goodun yet.
6 months is nothing IMHO. I would do oils, fuel, filters, belts and plugs because it's a new car to me more than it's been sitting for 6 months.
