any ideas to what this could be?
Im sorry to post this again but i am hoping someone can point out what the hell this is? Bought my car 3 weeks ago and a few days after owning it a tapping noise started only on light throttle which seemed to go away after a few minutes. I put it back to the garage i got it from and he said they couldnt find anything wrong even though they can hear the noise! Since then the noise is lasting longer ie 15-20 mins after start up! The car boosts properly and drives as it should but is this the start of something big? Has anyone ever had this problem? U dont hear a thing till u hit the throttle? Also if anyone can recommend a good subaru tech up aberdeen way would be greatly appreciated!

sounds like the same as i had in my fiesta 1.2 zetec " which i might add,i only had for 2 days !!!" it was bottom end
but then again , a half decent mechanic should know this ??
dont want to put a hex on it , but it doesnt sound good to me ?
do you know if it has a forged engine ? they can sound "tappy " that maybe why they cannot find a fault with it ? anyway best of luck mate , hope its minor

[QUOTE=scoobyboothy;10081870]Could be a noisy injector[/QUOTE
Is a noisy injector something to worry about (on its way out). Or is that something that will stay like that and cause no damage?
