Ive just purchased an ECU thats been mapped and has the license. Is there any way to physically tell that this has been done?
And how much roughly to get it mapped again to suit my car?

you must have the reciept with the ecu for the remap? £200-300 will see it remapped again

No way to tell by just looking at the ecu ,your best bet imho is asking the person who you bought it off, who mapped the ecu ,that way if you take it to the same mapper and it should only cost you £100 - £150 to have the base map tweaked to your car.If another mapper has to map it may well cost you £300+
