Fit to adaptor first. Twist the valve on the adaptor to get the screw on. It will turn round on the adaptor easily. Good luck. Andy.

If its a hawkeye sti then the plate will fit the valve and the intercooler but you will be unable to make them fit together , i had tried so many different plates and all had the same problem , in the end when i had the service done i got slowboy racing to make a new plate and fit it , all good now

yeh thats what alot of people said , even slowboy racing said they had a mare fitting it , was the steel piping running up the side of the intercooler from the engine causing a problem and not the intercooler , i even compared to other newage sti on 05reg and mine was slightly different .

That's very strange. My wrx piping was the same as my spec c sti piping, which also fitted my hyperflow intercooler. The hks fitted all 3 in all combinations. You must be one unlucky fella mate. Lol. Some jobs always turn out to be annoying when they should be simple. Lol.
