Default Noob question about clutch slippage

Hi guys what are the common symptoms of a clutch slipping.
I only as as when I accelerate in 5th from about 60mph it will start off fine then the revs will increase at a faster rate than my speed, then it dipsback to normal after a second (if that makes sense) could this be a sign ofthe clutch slipping.

Thanks

Yes, that,s the symptoms of a worn clutch. It will gradually get worse. Steve.

it will gradually get worse my friend. no pull in 5th, then 4th, then 3rd. replace before you wear it down to the studs

I didn,t replace my slipping clutch for a couple of months because of work commitments but did get pi##ed of with the slow acceleration, so I fitted uprated Excedy clutch at first opportunity. Steve.

Time for a NEW clutch I think, accelerate hard you will and go forth you won't. Had the same problem and was quite annoying, must fit a quaillity clutch though. Good luck.

Ive only had the car 2 days, and the garage owner seems a genuine chap. I wont be impressed if he doesnt replace it...
