Default stupid question about servicing

hello, i am going to service my scooby as ive just got her and want the engine to be running good..

what exactly do i need to change apart from the obvious.. (even if they dont need changed i dont mind spending some extra pennies to be sfe!)

what do i need to get done for a full whack service

its a 1998 - UK turbo 2000

it wont be pennies chum, trust me


Drive belts - Inspected and replaced if necessary
Cambelt - Replaced
Cambelt Tensioner inspected and replaced if necessary
Engine oil - Replaced
Engine oil filter - Replaced
Sump plug washer - Replaced
Engine coolant - Replaced with suitable level of anti-freeze
Cooling systems, hoses & connections - Inspected
Fuel filter - Replaced in line with manufacturers recommendation
Fuel system, lines & connections - Inspected
Air filter - Replaced or cleaned if reusable
Spark plugs - Replaced
Transmission Gear oil [Standard] (4 litres)
Gear sump plug washer - Replaced
Diff. oil - Replaced
Brake fluid - Replaced
Brake pads & discs - Inspected and replaced if necessary
Axle shafts joints & boots - Inspected and replaced if necessary
Wheel bearings - checked
Brake lines - Inspected
Park & service brake operation - Inspected & adjusted if necessary
Clutch system - Inspected
Exhaust - inspected
Battery - inspected
Lubricate Hinges
Steering & suspension system - Inspected
Operation of seatbelts, lights, wipers, washers & horn - Inspected
Tyre condition and inflation pressures - Inspected and pressures adjusted if necessary.

If you have absolutely EVERYTHING done on the SSS, then expect to pay around £500-700 at a independent specialist/tuner. I just have. (And that didn't include any cambelt tensioners either - they weren't required this time).

Sorry, just realised YOU intend to do it. So just parts only - but as bigsinky has just posted, quite an extensive list...

Opie Oils stock all service items, I think - at decent prices.

you could save a little buy buying cheaper plugs.....but definetely not recommended.
