2000 p1 ecu into 1999 turbo 2000?

Arrow 2000 p1 ecu into 1999 turbo 2000?

Hi helpful people,
As above really, will an ecu from a 2000 p1 classic run my 1999 turbo 2000 and if so what turbo and mods am I looking at?

I don't think it would be as simple as swapping them over, you'd have to get it mapped anyway to have it 100%, so you may aswell just have your standard one mapped.

Or check JGM's website, I think he has all the details of ECu codes on there:

As above ,it will need remapping as a P1 ecu normally powers a vf28 which runs at 276 bhp.Your 99 E3 ecu powers a td04(presumably) which runs 215 bhp.Once your std ecu is mapped with a few supporting mods and a bigger turbo(vf23,28,30,34,35,etc) it should see you up to around 320 bhp+ more depending on which turbo you opt for. Or if you stay with your std turbo 260 -280 bp
