Default engine rebuild advice

I am away to rebuild the engine from my 95 impreza sti.
Just looking for some advice to build a strong engine without going steel.

I will be using the ej20 block and was planning on using the version 2 crank. Any advice to what conrods and pistons?? I have been told the version 2 pistons with version 9 rods.
I will be using acl race bearings and arp rod bolts to build it.

I have version 2 and version 3 heads but want to know if there is any difference??

I have cosworth 0.7mm steel head gaskets i was planning to use along with arp stud and nut kit. Also a cosworth oil pump.

Any advice or past problems you have had would be appreciated as its the first impreza i have rebuilt and am a bit unsure whats best.

Cheers

I am looking for around 350bhp, not too adventurous but in my eyes reliable if built right.

I bought the car cheap due to head gasket failure but due to cutting corners just to get it on the road it did nt last. After driving it for a while i decided i really liked it and would like to build a good strong engine so i can use it for a couple track days ect

I dont want to spend thousands rebuilding but will spend what it takes to make it right.
