Default Would you use this turbo?

Hi, I have a VF35 turbo with a crack on the wastegate. Is this ok to use or am I just asking for trouble?

Thanks

Crack is right hand side of the wastegate.

send these some pictures to see what they say, they have repaired a friends block before and had no problems with it after.

So would this be a simple job to do or would a specialist be needed?

As above its pretty simple you don't need a specialist as your only removing the housing and not the compressor/turbine wheels so no balancing is needed.

It should be as simple as weld and grind it flush, shouldn't it?

Welding cast doesn't sound tempting neither does grinding, I wouldn't want to risk it. Cheers
