Hi,seem to be hitting a bit of a brick wall with my search for a replacement 99/00 engine,yet there seems to be quite few earlier engines available,so what does it really take to make an earlier engine fit?I know there will be some issues with the wiring loom and ecu but how hard is it.
Getting a bit desperate to get mine back on the road

hi mate i've got an engine out of a 2001 Y reg classic. i want £600 for it or £750 and i'll even fit it for you as some people are a bit weiry of buying engines they haven't heard running. the only thing missing off the engine is the plug leads as they were 10mm race leads and i sold them seperatly.

If its the bottom end that's gone then any bottom end will fit as they are all interchangeable. Just put your heads on and refit with all the same ancils and connectors.
