Don't go for Cold air Induction kit, unless your ECU can be mapped,if not you kill your MAF very soon in best case,in worse case your engine will pop and £2.5k for rebuild is too much for one induction kit, just fit panel filter like Green panel filter or K&N which give you nice sound too.

If your friend have fitted K&N cone filter this create this for low money and little effort and is enough effective for high build.

Or you can buy Hypeflow Cold air induction kit,but £150 or K&N cold air induction kit which cost similar money

Really depends what your bother want,if want the Induction kit and want get big bill later, leave where is it.

I would recommend have look for standard OE Airbox and fit this, car will be run much better and your brother will be in safe.

You can buy afteramrket ECU like Apexi Power FC or Simtek etc,not cheap option, but maybe worth money in long run,not sure about the ESL daughter board if its available for your brother car, best contact here Simon@JGM or Duncan@Race Dynamix
