Default engine swap

Well after 2 weeks of owning his my00 turbo my mates car has a nice big hole in the engineNow i have posted a wanted ad but he has been offered ej20 engine from a 1994 wrx,will this fit and would it mean changing the ecu?

or would we be able to use the block and heads then the rest from his current car?

Your have to use his old heads with the 94 block.

his eleven year old car punched a hole in the block ... and he wants to replace it with a 17 year old unknown ?

any way it would be the short engine he would use with the heads etc of the orig car.

Not an unknown but a car that he has known for few years and surely age has nothing to do with it?? Ive always been told condition!! thanks for your help just kicking ideas around he's not decided on anything yet

sorri dude, assumption ..the mother of all F*** UPs lol

just assumed it was a quick fix to save cash , if its a well known a cared for engine then the short block with his heads is the job
