has my car been remapped?
guys
I was told my car was boggo standard having had a good look underneath I have clearly got a cat back exhaust and it feels pretty quick on boost, is there any way to tell whether its been remapped without getting it checked.
Im guessing if its running standard boost its not been remapped and if its running more it has been?
thanks

Without getting the ECU checked (which is the best way) the most obvious would be looking at boost via a boost guage. Boost target for the TD04 bug was 0.9 bar (ish). It's possible to buy a cheap cable and software to look at the target boost without paying a mapper to look.

so if its 0.9 bar its standard, do they run 1.2 bar when they are remapped.
I have got a OBDII bluetooth tool wonder if that will tell me anything?

Boost targets for remaps and PPP are around 1.2 bar as beyond that the small TD04 is simply heating the air and not efficiently compressing it. OBD tools should be able to read the boost as seen by the ECU, some record highest boost pressue which should give a pretty good indication.

so where would I get the most cost effective remap from?
Zen is near me, about 10 minutes away to be honest, but dont know if they are any good, ive had no dealings in the Subaru world?
I will have a decat, uprated filter, already got a cat back and will fit a uprated fuel pump.
guessing someone will map that to circa 280bhp, but who is the most cost effective?

Sorry Graham.........missed out on the 0.025 bar
Paul AKA Zen Performance would be able to sort you out as would all the mappers on here as this sort of thing is their bread and butter
The only fly in the ointment is that I'm not sure if Zen do Open Source mapping which would be your cheapest option as you don't need to buy a licence (which you do with EcuTeK)
The TD04 spools fast but runs out of steam pretty quick and I'd expect around 265 BHP
