Cats on a classic?
I there juat one cat on the classic located on the down pipe?
Is the setup of the exhaust system, mainfolds, headers, up pipe, turbo, down pipe, mid section and back box?

Its a cat, i had my car from new (MY00), I had the PPP fitted, they gave me back the entire exhaust system (Prodrive), its got a cat in it.
Also you dont need a heat sink over a baffled centre section, you do with a cat (it was a common issue with them rattling).

UK/EU cars had 2 to pass the emissions, JDM's just had the one, chances are your centre section was replaced by a JDM centre section, lots of people did it
