Default $%£$$%ing help me!!!!!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! What the hell is this clicking sound?? I need to find out what it is before i take it in. I can only imagine what the agents will charge me if i arrive with some issue and have no idea what the problem is.

Searching on here i see it might be wheel bearing or CV. I have had the rear wheel off 3 times in the last week to see if i can find anything loose, any play or movement but nothing.

Forgive me for not having centre caps but these are my winter wheels.

that noise is irritating thats what it is mate.

on another note, are you 100000000% sure its coming from that wheel? as it maybe a noise coming from somewhere else and amplifying out of that wheel.

check your drop links on the rear, sounds like a loose anti roll bar, imo

The sound is almost like it is coming from the big shaft nut or hub nut.

hmmmmmmmmm if not suspension related, 2nd best guess would be the drive lines, does it do it at a constant rate? or does it increase and decrease with speed?

Does it do it if you push it forwards and backwards rather than drive it?

Could be the pads moving in the caliper carrier.

Driveshaft nut loose. Ensure staking is in groove in shaft. Only needs to be slightly loose to click, I had this on NSF and it took me a year to find. Check all 4 wheels.

If it aint doin it when you push it its got to be driveshaft related surely? As said check the hub/driveshaft nut is properly torqued as the click could be the splines movin slightly if its ok id be lookin at the cv joint.

Front 162 ft-lb, rear 140 ft-lb.

Although conventional thinking says overtightening will damage bearing, my offending nut got murdered up with a big windy gun capable of 800 by a well known specialist and I had no further problem.

May sound stupid but have you checked the tyre for a nail? Can click away with every tyre rotation! A lot louder than you'd expect sometimes!

Not a strut either, those have been replaced. Defo coming from the hub nut area.

I say drive line. May be a bearing in one of the diffs is on its way out. Get underneath and check for play in the prop shaft.

But play in the prop shaft would then make that clunk sound from the diff and not at just the rear left hub nut. Or do you mean from the side shafts to the wheels?
