Default PPP Silencer DB?

Does anyone know how many decibels come out of the original PPP silencer, not the oval shaped on.

I'm considering sourcing a used one for my newly aquired STi, as I used to have one on the WRX PPP I just sold on. For me this level of noise is just right, so if there are any other exhausts that are at the same db level, please reccomend them.

I was considering the Nur Spec R, as it has rave reviews of build quality, but I am led to believe its rather loud in comparison to the PPP silencer.

The V5 on MY07 RB320, which came with the PPP, including the Prodrive back box, states 81db standing still, 71db drive by at 4200rpm.

Hence I have a Blitz Nur Spec R fitted now!

A Prodrive backbox is pretty quiet compared to other systems on a Subaru and you only really hear the "burble" above 3000 revs and I don't normally drive over 3000 revs unless I'm accelarating hard so for the most part my car sounds like any other car on the road and can bairly hear anything. I wouldn't say it has a huge decibel level. I'm thinking of changing mine to one which may release more of the burble at especially low revs, without being too loud and chavvy though. I'm thinking of the Hayward and Scott straight exit slash cut 4.5" tip (which is just slightly larger than the 4" Prodrive tip) so it should look fairly subtle but I've not seen any newage car with one to know what it looks like as I personally prefer rolled tips so still not sure yet.

The Japspeed ones seem to be very good value for what you get. Here are the specs;

Subaru Impreza New Age Back Box RS2

Manufactured from mandrel bent T304 grade stainless steel.

Features:

* Mirror polished and 2.25 Inch bore all the way through with a 4.5 Inch tailpipe.
* This exhaust system will improve throttle response.
* Fantastic high quality stainless steel exhaust that we guarantee you will not be dissapointed with.
* Gaskets and bolts included.
* Direct fit to standard centre pipe.

This exhaust has the same qualities as the more expensive Blitz Nur Spec R, but only costs £150.00 delivered!

I thought the standard exhaust bore including backbox was 2.5"? I'd assume an aftermarket to be more free-flowing and at least the same bore as standard unless this is a typo from their site?

Thanks for pointing this out, I shall check with them if I decide to buy this version.
