Exhaust sound levels on track.
I went on a track day and the static sound level at 4500 RPM for a car with a redline of 7000 RPM was 101 DB, my car read 89 DB and that was with a standard exhaust system with a H&S back box.
I was planning on getting a full decat and remap but surely that is going to be over 101 DB?
The drive by limit is even lower at 87.5 DB at 20 meters.
What exhaust system are you running and what's the DB?
Thanks

The Mongoose system on my car consistently reads 89db static at 5500rpm and 84db drive by. Be aware that no matter how careful you are these figures WILL differ from circuit to circuit dependent upon equipment used for testing, individual doing testing, surrounding features, weather conditions, position of jupiters moon's, etc., etc.
Mongoose system available from Scooby Clinic.
