Default strange grinding noise

hi i have a 94 wrx with fmic fitted .
i have noticed at idle the clutch has been making a noise which goes whrn pedal is pressed down (so bearing must be going )
but i also have a weird noise when i release the throttle , its a grinding sort of noise which isnt there under acceleration or at tickover .
any ideas what to check or could this be noise in the fmic pipes (never noticed before as prevoius owner had stupidly load exhaust on)
car has been lowered and has full 3" decat exhaust
cheers j

not sure if it's any help, but i get the odd grinding noise from the clutch, but the only time i get it is pulling away from a standstill, if i am a little bit low on revs, and a bit aggressive with the clutch. it bogs a little, and get a bit of a grinding sound there. heard it on other models too (my mates civic did it sometimes), so not sure it is a big deal...

Does that help at all??
