Default Rusty Impreza Sills

OK...me again,

The ol' Impreza went through the MOT a couple or months ago with no major faults, however, an advisory was 'Rusty Sills'.

Does anyone know how much I'm going to be looking at to replace the sills? Or anywhere I could buy some and try to do myself?

I have no idea how big of a job this is so taking it somewhere would probably be the best idea but I've got no idea how out of pocket it will put me.

any ideas, tips, or advice would be appreciated more than you will ever know!

Thanks

Stiggy J

Hmmm, I wasn't told...and haven't checked. I will strip off the covers and take a look to make sure.

The advisory is actually listed as "Sill covers fitted"...

so have they advised that sill covers are fitted or that the sills are rusty? in a mot you can't remove anything so i dont see how they can advise sills are rusty when you have side skirts fitted!

and advising sill covers are fitted is stupid as most cars these days have them, so are they going to advise every car has sill covers fitted??

You really need to have a good look as can be anything from a bit of wire brushing or small repair or even full replacement so until you look properly you cannot decide how big a job it is
