I am looking to replace my tatty 02 Wagon front bumper and am looking for advise as to which models bumpers are interchangeable?

Does the four door bumper fit the five door? I suspect not!

I have looked into having my current bumper resprayed, but it has quite a few deep scratches around the bottom and so it would probably be wiser to get a good tidy used bumper and if the colour is different, have that replacement resprayed, as necessary.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I have a WR Blue bug saloon bumper in excellent condition with fog covers, and Prodrive UK300 splitter. Just in case you fancy it!

 

I'm not sure it will fit on my wagon.

I know someone out there will know for certain.

 

I have fitted Saloon bumper fitted on my wagon(Bugeye WRX V7),but i have fitted as well Saloon wings fitted as well.

I'm pretty sure will fit front bumper from saloon on wagon,i've seen few wagons with saloon bumpers and standard fenders/wings.

They originally made the wagons narrower to avoid tax but they made them the same for later cars.

I'm sure the Blob wagon came with saloon wings and bumper so were interchangable but not the bug, I'd use the search function on here to check as I'm sure it's been asked a few times.

That's kinda confirmed my suspisions that only a wagon bumper would be a replacement for a standard wagon front end.

 

I've got a bug WRX saloon.........did you want me to nip out after lunch and try and measure my bumper ?

I guessing that the flare on the saloon front wings would need a wider bumper for the seams to match up, hence the WRX bumper would not fit the standard wagon front wings and should be wider?

 

just change the wings if you want the saloon bumper its pritty easy once the bumper is off just take out the wheel arch liners and the wings just unbolt off
