Default How to fit a turbo blanket?

Am fitting various bits to my 06 wrx this weekend ready for the remap including a vf48 turbo, cobra downpipe & exhaust, sti top mount etc etc. Have purchased a T3 turbo blanket for the turbo which I also plan to fit.

My question is...... is it easier to fit the blanket once the turbo and exhaust are on the car, or is it easier to fit while the turbo is not fitted and then install the turbo with the blanket already on?

Have not heard of anyone doing it the second way as most seem to struggle fitting it while the turbo is already in place. Have heard people struggling for 2 hours just to fit this. Maybe is I will struggle fitting the turbo with the blanket already on the turbo?

Anyone got links to any fitting hints or guides?

Thanks, Andy.

its easier to fit with the turbo off.with it on it can be done, but you need the hands of a smurf to do it as there is not alot of room around the turbo area for the heat shield fittings.
