Default 03 boost problem

hi all,

i have a problem with my boost pressure, don't seem to be boosting past 0.5.

i have a psi3 engine monitor and can check for fault codes of which there are none, i can also quickly clear and reset the ecu. when i clear the ecu the car runs fine for about 5 miles then goes back to 0.5 boost.

any ideas?

It seems to be reverting back to wastegate raw cracking pressure.

The ECU is no doubt sensing something it's not happy about, and is limiting boost. But what it is...........???

ummm, seems ok now.

would running the car on normal unleaded cause this issue?

filled up with super and since then the boost seems fine??

Possibly.

If the ECU senses enough det then I'm sure it would limit boost (as well as the timing obviously).
