I'm going to strip the engine and running gear from a car I'm breaking. It's a MY96 RA with wind up windows and no frills and if I can't get decent money for the shell, I'm going to fit an SR20DET engine and box and use it as a drift car. Is there anything that can make the block scrap and worthless? The timing belt went, due to a camshaft siezing up but the engine is still complete less the front cover and LH head semi stripped down to diagnose the problem.

It has a closed deck block which I intend on selling but don't really want to strip it down to nothing as it'll take time and room which I don't have. I don't intend to reuse any of the engine parts so don't mind giving internals and ancillaries away with it.

How much are the engines and boxes worth, and do I have to sell the rear diff matched to the box?
