Default advice needed please i.e the dipstick next to the turbo?

hello there fine people of scoobynet was checking the levels on my 2000 turbo last night when i checked the dipstick next to the turbo am i right in thinking it is the gearbox oil? if so what is the best oil to get for it?any help appreciated cheers

Before you add any more oil, make sure you checked with the car on a dead level surface. It's very sensitive to this. Any slope will make a big difference on the dipstick.

cheers evry one got castrol syntrax 75 90 now even more of a silly question where on earth do i top it up from?

id use the dipstick hole to top it up from.

its a pain to fill. you need a bit off pipe to slip into the dipstick hole and then fill from there. its a very slow process lol

Yup, it's deff a pain to do,

Luckily I managed to get a piece of pipe that fits down it and have a funnel in the other end to pour it into.

Just don't do too much at a time otherwise it tends to try to overflow when the air suddenly comes back up the pipe...lol
