Default looking for a engine again

after months of the car being off the road i got my hands on an engine in feb. it was fitted on the 1st of last month and the garage said somthing was wrong. they thought that the lifters was all stuck open but after i been there today with a mate we got it started and its the bottom end gone.its rattleing like a babys toy at around 2000rpm. im now on the look for another engine but must have proof of engine working if u know of any plz feel free to let me know thank u

Get it rebuilt rather than picking up second hand engines, you have been bitten once dont get bitten twice!

Totally agree!

You can never really trust a second hand engine.

For the money you've spent on buying engine and fitting and now another you're on your way to the cost of rebuild that you can't get back.

Follow the dollar. New 2.0 shortblock from usa is in and around $1500usd.

Get the original rebuilt and you will know it will be right

ps - was in Marazion last week and could have stopped off and had a listen to it

no it was a ld called frank dawson who had a look at it but ive just got one from a mate. its a 2004 sti block with 98 type r heads and has had some port and polishing done to
