Default Noisy fuel pump?

Hi all.

I drove 150 miles today and all seemed fine, but when I got home my fuel pump was very loud. It's a walbro 255l job is.

My question is is that a sign if it wearing out? It's only a year old.

Thanks
Andy

Had my walbro on a few days, very whiny and not a constant noise (fluctuates on pitch, high pitched) will be interested in members opinions.

I once had a Walbro and after driving for about 8 hours it became much louder, however it quietened down overnight. It packed up about 2 months later, it failed pretty badly, even at idle and cruise the fuel pressure was too low.

So I think that that time I run it for about 8 hours each day on 2 consecutive days definitely contributed to its early death. I had had it for about 6 months.

I had Walbro pumps in my previous classics & noticed loads of issues with them. They came from good sources so i would'nt call them copies. Now i have TSL Hi-flow pump & it works very nicely.
