Default switch on top of steering column

sorry to ask but just got a 1998 impreza sport and was just wondering what the switch is for on top of the steering column.

turns sidelights on for some reason, but they stay on when ignition is off.

Or the drain the battery switch

I remember a few threads along the line of - I was giving the interior of my car a good clean and now my sidelights seem to be stuck permanently on. Help!

The bright button makes your headlamps brighter...its true, try it

subaru put this button in as a after thought for women owners its actually a park anywhere button oh sorry wrong button thats the hazard lights button this is the park in the dark on a blind corner button
