Anyone know roughly how much a mechanic is likely to charge for removing a turbo and re-studing it?

 

£35-£75 per hour depending on where u go. decent mechanics would be £35 per hour dealer upto £75

 

Thanks, i tried fitting a new decat dwnpipe byt ended up breakin the threads on the turbo studs so they need to come out..Do you know if removing the turbo is a hard job? Iv never done one before but it would save me alot of coin if i got it off myself and let the mechanic just take the studs out..

 

Its easy to remove, the hardest part is getting the nuts off without breaking the studs... as you have found out already.
