Hi all, just fitted a 2nd hand de-cat from the turbo to the back box, all new gaskets but the thing is that the engine note (rumble) is very loud at the turbo and its not leaking ??? is this right or is there something wrong..thanks.

 

Sounds about right, removing the cat in the downpipe gets rid of the muffling effect of the cat which increases the noise....Also, if its stainless it will be louder as well (I think they are thinner).

yes it is stainless and it mate's up to a fujitsubo system does not sound to bad when the bonnet is down....lol. anyway i think my alt is on its way out because every time i rev it i get a wizzzzzzzzzing sound so i might change that tonight. p.s still have my two fault codes. 24 and 33 i have changed the iacv/clocks/cable and the g/box adaptor but still no joy.

its a my95 wrx import....td05 z4 ecu with a mines chip.

 

done the alt last night sounds better.reset the ecu as well 20mins driving cel back on and the same codes?.
