hello there.i think my gearbox is on its way out got the bad noise comin from passagers footwell at 30/40mph.has anyone had this probem?i had the wheel bearing changed about 2months ago.check the driveshafts all ok.anyone got any idea on what it could be??

 

What sort of noise? Is it when driving straight or when you turn corners? Could be a CV joint...

 

I recently had a problem with a noisy box ( like a droning noise or a wheel barin)but this lasted a while i chamged the oil but no differance, anyway one day on way to work i wasn't driving it to hard then in fourth gear it felt like it hit the limiter so i put it in fifth only for it to jam and not come back out so just watch what ur doin and take it easy untill u get it sorted.

You may get a good box on ebay.

but i had an issue like this, turned out to be the bushes on the lateral links
+ the trailer arms were also going, i even changed the diff

the box im selling is a p1 box complete

 

yea it a droning noise got really bad in the last month.but its only at 30/40.got a mate who work in a scrapyard his going to keep an ear out for one.got to turn the radio up so i cant hear it lol
