Default More power, next step?

Hi im wanting more power in my v4 type r but im unsure what step to take next:-

current mods:-

tubular headers
3" blitz full system
apexi fc
filter
vf34 @ 1.4bar
walbro pump
550 injectors

Not really wanting too go down the 2.5 route at the moment. Maybe a bigger turbo but what?

Cheers Hutch

Do you still have the OEM TMIC? Also, what power was it currently remapped to, first?

Depends on how much more you want really. Looks like you have a MY99 or MY00. Is it a STi? You really don't wanna be going too much over 380-400, for fear of your internals/gearbox. Even then that's prob pushing it . But plenty of people run these sort of figures - just a case of fortune, in the end. Depends a lot on how you drive the thing/frequency of hooning, etc...

I'd recommend the SC38 or SC40 Billets. Should get 360-380 with the former, and 380-400 with the latter, mapped on V-P.

If you have a WRX, then I'd be inclined to see if you can get a better result on the VF34. As these are normally good for 340+ -- sometimes can see 360.

In all the mentioned scenarios, the exisiting 550cc should be good enough for the fuelling (top out between 390-420 odd).

TD05 20G. Will see 370/380 with your spec.
Remember though that with more power comes more problems, box and clutch for starters. Also, 380 is alot to be putting your standard internals through. Get the car mapped properly with the spec you have before you start thinking about new turbo etc.

The SC40 Billet is effectively a fettled 20g with roller bearings and 33% lighter compressor wheel - so spools a bit earlier (and makes a bit more power for like for like boost target), compared to a 'regular' 20g. Or, at least, so the theory goes...

basic question, what sort of power do you have now and how much do you want to spend.

Yes its an sti. Currently i have a problem with the turbo to uppipe gasket which is causing it to blow but that should be sorted this weekend. Then i can get it mapped which i'm looking forward to. What sort of power should i be seeing? I have around £6000 to spend as soon as my civic type r sells! How much could i get for my vf34 as i could chuck the rest of the money towards an sc38.

Cheers Hutch

Nah not that much but you can easily spend £6000 on one of these but preferably i would like it to be half of that lol . As above what figures do you think it would be running with above mods

All do mapping and are very good, some of them will travel too you at fuel cost on top of mapping price.
