Just looking for some advice.

i was thinking about getting a top mount off a newage wrx and apart from making up a bracket for the left hand mount it looks fairly straight forward.

The top mounts ive seen dont have the dump valve fitted.
Would the dump valve off my sti 5 be suitable as a swap so i can retain the original dump valve hose, do i need the newage dump valve as well.

Also are the Y pipes the same size on both top mounts?

 

On my last Scoob, a MY00 classic, I fitted a Newage Wrx intercooler and then a Newage Sti intercooler. The Wrx is a easy fit but your classic dumpvalve wont fit, you have to use the newage dumpvalve. The Newage Sti is a pig to fit requiring several mods. Do a search on here. Knowing what I know now ,it would have been easier and just as cheap to fit a front mount rather than the Newage Sti topmount. Steve..

 

yeah thats why i choose the wrx rather than the sti.
Dont think id have the talent to fit the sti version.

is the dump valve hose the same size on the newage as the classic.

Ive done various searches for the newage hose so far not found any.
