Hey guys got a bugeye, very well taken care of, mods are only decatted, blitz induction and dump valve.. shes hit 97,000 miles now and mate has a blitz boost controller and said i could wind it up to 17psi , is it worth the risk for extra 3psi on a turbo that old ? any advice welcome... ive been old not to just in case!!!

Provided it running sweet as a nut, I'd say 2-3psi increase max as your ecu will not adjust other parameters to run safely in other words u could lean out and then det city! To be fair, they do say not to bother with them at all but thats what I did, I must stress I am having a rebuild at the moment so I won't be going down that route with my fresh block!!

It's not worth just turning the boost up. With a remap yes, but not with a boost controller.

Hi there on bugeye no boost controller, due your ECU have good boost control up to 1.55bar(1.7 bar)...
And if you want boost controller look for Apexi AVC-R,but this i will recommend if you want run OE ECU with higher boost than 1.7bar.
Apexi AVC-R is excellent boost controller which you can set up boost per gear..
