Default Help with Jap ECU remap

Hi
have bought a 1995 Jap Import WRX Wagon. It is in excellent condition, knew it was too good to be true.
Have checked the ECU box and it is a B3 with no add on chips.
THis is what I have been told. That unit is not remappable, the engine is limited to 110mph, cant run properly on UK fuel and the huge exhaust and K&N air filters and new actuator are all not helping.
There are W6 and W9 units available on Ebay with polarperformance ECU and chipsgods chips.
Indigo GT (evolution chips installers) tell me that only the B3 will work with my car, any other one will blow it up. I understand that the ECu swap would be best done by the remapper and wouldnt dream of swapping the ECU in my drive.
Question is what the h*ll do I do. Risk a W6 or W9, or look for a B3 with a chip. And if I do go for a W6 or W9, who can I trust to remap it.
Any suggestions or an offer of bits to buy would be great.

YOur runing the a td04 turbo were as all import saloons run td05s so all those's chips and ecu's will not work 100%,
best bet, wack a genuine td05 on and a z4 ecu and enjoy the increase in 40bhp.
or if you want more run a polar performance chip with a td05 and with a full decatted exhaust and filter and you will be runing 270-300bhp,

My saloon ran 284.2bhp @0.9bar with bolt on mods and a chipped ecu on v-power
