Having an engine rebuild with comp gaskets and bearings and an organic clutch fitted to my my00 Uk classic, was gonna have a forged build but due to arrival of 2nd baby in a couple of months I had to draw the line somewhere! Anywho, I just wondered what sort ofnpower I could safely run with the rebuilt engine? I know I need to upgrade a few things but what will the new internals cope with?
Thanks
Thanks
So std (effectively WRX spec) like for like replacement pistons and rods (and MY00 crank then)?
Or are you having OEM STI pistons/rods fitted?

This side of 350/350 is a 'sensible' choice re. the motor (at least it'll be 'new'), and 'box. You'd need a New Age STi TMIC, or even better, a FMIC; 550cc inj.; decat d/p; VF34/VF35/SC36, etc. turbo.
Your OEM ECU is remappable by EcuTeK s/w - most mappers use it. Can get it remapped at API (Harbury, Leam. Spa, W. Mids.)
Or get JGM to come to you.
ZEN aren't far away either - in Wellingborough.
