Subaru Impreza N11
Hello guys,
Can anyone tell me when the N11 was released? That would be the blob eye version Impreza but with the 114 pcd hubs i believe, for those not familiar with the N terminology.
I'm looking to get one (for rally) and have found one but its a late 2003 model. I was under the impression that the N11 was released late 2004?? But the seller insists its a proper JDM N11 spec C and says that they were released early in japan than anywhere else?? Can anyone confirm that fact? Looking at the pics it does look like a spec C N11 as it has the low level rear spoiler, boot mounted water spray tank and roof flap but i that is not conclusive enough to differentiate as i believe the N10 also comes in the spec C Version and has the same stuff. The only difference apparently is that the N11 has a slightly wider and longer wheel base and the 114 pcd hubs, and an oil cooler for the gearbox. Its basically a hawkeye STI engine, drivetrain and suspension but in the blob eye shell.
The chassis no. he's given is GDB021619. Can anyone tell me what year this car should be?
Many thanks,
Imran

The N11 is the MY05 JDM car, people call them version 9's but as you can see it would actually be a version 11 (hence N for grp N rally car and 11 for the rally version).
If its been converted to run rallies then it will also be fitted with a roll cage but should be road legal.
So i will add some more
An N7 would be the STI RA from 2001 but converted for Group N rallying, N8 is a 2002 Bug Spec C, N9 is a 2003 twin scroll Spec C, N10 is a 2004 Spec C rally car.

Tony,
many thanks for your response. So basically this guy is trying to pull one over me as his car is a late 2003 model and he claims its the N11, whereas if it were a true N11 it would be a 2005 - which has the wider and longer wheel base, 114 pcd wheels, alloy arms all round (not only in the front) etc. Correct?
It definitely is a spec C as its got the rear boot mounted 12 ltr water spray and the manual windows, but then again - all that kit came in the N9 as well. So its pretty hard to tell.

it would be the later one with the 114pcd yup, if he has a late 03 it could be either an N11 or N12, plus as you say its got the uprated interior also and the flares around the rear arches but they should all have alloy arms all round

Lol...confused now! So you are saying that a late 2003 (as this car is) can be an N11??
What i can confirm about it is that it has an oil cooler, alloy arms all round and the rear in boot 12 ltr water spray tank. i cannot confirm whether it has the wider track arms and drive shafts and the 144 pcd hubs. The guy said he will ask his chief mechanic and get back to me as he is not too clued in about technicalities of the car.

No, a late 2003 will be either the last of the 2003's so an N9 or an N10 as its the first of the 2004's
You should be able to visibly tell if its a 2005 car due to the flares over the rear arches that the previous cars didnt have.
