bull crap ?
someone i know has just had a simtek fitted and mapped on a 93 wrx which is standard apart from a fmic..so 380cc injectors and a 16g. Now he's telling me its mapped at 1.6bar and made 347bhp ! he's got to be pulling my leg surely ?

lol he seems quite sure 'iv got a graph and everything' ! i mean 16g's can hit 350bhp but its rare and 1.6bar is surely death on an early engine, let alone gearbox and 380's have got to maxed way before 350

440's are maxed out by then without FPR mate and a 16g with a tired motor running 1.6 bar
If he has a graph with thoses figures on it then it doesn't belong to his car

Tell him he'd be better off with a Z4 ecu. I'll give him a tenna for the rusty old simtec.

well My 93 RA made 356BHP with the following Several years ago.
Blits SUS Induction Kit
3" open neck Decat H&S center and vortex Back box.
Walbro 255
FSE Regulator
Apexi FMIX, Blitz BOV.
Apexi Power FC
Running a TD05 16G and the std Grey 380's. but I think boost was 1.2 - 1.3 Bar 97 Ron and Octane Booster
Since then i have moved a way up the power scale, and am about to go even further up.
However, if he has a FMIC then he has an Induction Kit.. Does he also have a Decat and performance exhaust?

Wanna see my graphs?
Kick in the **** off 330bhp, 1 bar of boost.
Some reckon Dastek RR's over read/give high results though.
Still, time slips don't lie.

Depends On who operates it. Phil knows what he is doing, but was it him or one of the others using it would be another question.
