Default 1998 uk turbo brakes question

I need to change my brakes discs and pads but need some help first,

i have 4 pot calipers on the fronts and i'm guessing 2 pot on the rear, is that the standard uk turbo set up?

what size are the front/rear discs?

my front are vented, rear are solid if that helps at all,

also i got asked what pads i want? are there different sizes also?

finally the rear brakes have shoes inside? how do i get the disc off without bothering all that gumff inside?

You need 294mm discs and 266mm rears , there is only one shape pads for the 4 pots , your rear calipers are one pot calipers , the early pads have cut outs on the ends of the pads , the later ones have lugs , check out the pad shapes here

You can ring me tomorrow of you need any further info

Be careful though, my 98 car only had TWO pots on the front

Have yours got SUBARU on them in raised letters? If not, you probably have two pots.
