Purge valve correct fitting MY02
Hi all,
Just want to check what way the purge valve (for fuel tank vapours) should go. It's marked with arrow and says E/G, I'm 80% sure the E/G should be away from the intake but some American forums say should be other way.
Doing vac and pressure testing, if E/G pointed towards inlet then it will allow boost to go from manifold (of the 3 connections, it's the smallest pipe) to the inlet tract, not good. IF E/G pointed away from inlet, allows small amount of boost and much more vac to/from tank to manifold, I guess this allows the tank to be pressurised and suck out gasses when engine not under load?
