Hi. I was told that all Classic's 5 speed have got same weight flywheels. Standard OEM flywheel weights 12kgs. Mark from Lateral Performance told me that when I was buying one of his Billet Steel lightweight flywheels (6kgs). If you want to be sure, give him a call or Alyn from AS Performance.
Hope this help.

Yes the did. But not sure if you've been offered this one. http://www.sti.jp/parts/gcgf_impreza/cat4.html (item 6)

And it weighs 5.4kg.

AFAIK there was no lightweight flywheel from the factory.

New or used? If used it may well need a skim, so factor this into the buying price.

We sell these which are very popular: http://www.superhids.co.uk/lightweig...l-5-speed.html

The fact that it is listed as one of the parts option, means they did make these back then. Convert the yen to pounds back then, should give you an idea how much they were back then? I think they still offer these new. Not sure though.

Mind you, I don't like mine! LOL.
There is light and there is too light.
