Default Gt Spec up-pipe v smaller diameter (Harvey) up-pipe

Looking for some more response out of my MD321 and I've read on here about the advantages of changing for a smaller high velocity up-pipe.

Has any body got any back too back comparisons between the two set ups??

Cheers,

The supplied GT Spec up pipe is a much larger diameter than the one's that Harvey supplied. When I got mine from him he said he had 6 in the range designed for different Turbo's.
Mine is not at all laggy with his up pipe & a 321T, never heard a bad word said about them at all. Highly recomended

Big thumbs up for the tapered up pipe from Harvey I have mine on a 2.0 with 321t and fitting it over the STD uppipe as gained about 400rpm spool and no loss of power at the top it goes on to make 480bhp it also make the car very lively and responsive even low down. I would def recommend speaking to Harvey...

I too swapped a GT Spec up pipe for one of Harveys. No big spec turbo but still had a positive result. I think Harvey n Bob expected a better response but as always, not all cars react the same way.

If you come to me with your spec including model, year, headers and turbo in use I will give you the best options for what you are doing. Choosing the best uppipe and header set up is critical to the overall performance.
There is a lot more to it than just the diameter of the uppipe and all of my uppipes have been designed and perfected using a flow bench which has also been applied to the porting of the OE header sets and it is because of the effort that has gone in to perfecting the technique and designs that the results we achieve are consistant

Harvey fitted me one of his ported TD05 18G`s and a special uppipe a couple of weeks ago,i had my car re-mapped last week and can honestly say the difference is night and day.The turbo and uppipe combo make for a fast spooling road monster and im over the moon with his products and service...HARVEY IS THE MAN..FACT.

Another vote for Harvey.

He will tell you the truth, he will NOT try and sell you stuff you don't need, and if he makes a claim, it will have been tested exhaustively to prove/disprove it.

He is also not into blowing his own trumpet, so those of us "in the know" do it for him
