I need a new engine for my 1995 wrx. What engines can i fit without getting a remap?

 

93-96 wrx engines are a direct swap, though personally your best off getting it rebuilt, it costs more but you know its not going to blow up 300 miles down the road if you buy it from smr/ideal engines or the likes and pay similar money (which you wont get back btw)
Go speak with David at API to see what your options are, its your "cheapest" option in reallity unless you want to take the risk on a 2nd (3rd or 4th) hand engine.

no mater what engine you fit get it mapped. try to scrimp on things like that then you'll just end up buying another engine.
