1999 turbo 2000 EOBD system
Hello I have a 1999 uk turbo 2000 and I’m looking in to getting it remap.
I have got an ODB port in my car in the driver’s foot well but when my m8 plug the snap on modis in the port it did nothing, there are wires going to the plug but it didn’t communicate with the car.
I have spoke to sum 1 quick about getting it remapped and they said if I have an ODB port they can do it!
Don’t no what is going on with mine? Is it ment to work? Or is it a Subaru thing just to put it there but not able to use it? Or is it not used for fault codes just for remapping?
I really don’t know help if you can lol...

It can be used for mapping, its only really ecutek that can be mapped on that ecu.
As for using it to read faults, next to nothing will work as it needs to communicate with the subaru select monitor.
If you want something to read faults, display real time data and reset your ecu, you need a psi3 data monitor. They are pretty rare but there are 2 in the for sale section now
