ive just bought an ex display jap speed back box for my impreza,i will be fitting it next week.
i think i may have dropped a boll**k as i bought it to replace the stainless unbranded back box my turbo came with as its too loud [ive still got both cats fitted],however once i googled the make it appears that these come with a bung,mines got the hole to lock it in but came with no bung,my question is how loud are they without it?.

sounds ace though. and you can get bungs cheap. with the bung its nice n quiet.

the 2.5" pipes aint supposed 2 b as loud as the 3" ones, which is what ihad

I did see them described on here once as 'Cheap and Gobby'
Didn't stop me buying one though. They can be a bit intrusive on long runs and early morning starts, but fit the bung and it's perfectly acceptable.

£26.54 on scobyworld so you got an idea of price. says it fits most 4.5" tail pipes so should do the trick
i'm sure there are other places that sell them

 

scoobyworlds bung doesnt fit their ninja 1 back box but fits the rest an issue I found out the hard way!!

Dont get a bung just enjoy the burble an deal with the rioting neighbors!

 

not that loud, i work shifts where i leave at 5am or home at 2am and never had a complaint. and mine is decatted.

ive got a bung i dont use if you want to buy it.
